Week 34: Mining the Depths of Imagination
Imaginations are running wild in my studio this week! This is the kind of "class" I love best: I set out boxes of weird junk, tools, wire, and a hot glue gun. I state some brief safety tips, and then I pretty much get out of the way. What follows are creations by Coach Dan's U-12 girls' soccer team. They've been joining me for afternoons of art-making after their nearby morning soccer camp.
Like Thomas Edison said, "To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk." Adults, when was the last time you let yourself play with reckless abandon, like these uninhibited "tweens?" I'd love to hear about it!
